How to Transcribe Audios with AI (Audio to Text)

  1. Visit Notta.AI. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Audio to Text Converter" option.

  2. Upload the audio or video file that you want to transcribe by clicking on "Choose Files" and selecting the file from your computer.

  3. Select the transcription language (e.g., English or Spanish) that matches the content of your file.

  4. Enter the email address where you wish to receive the transcription result.

  5. Click "Confirm" to start the transcription process. The file will be uploaded, and you will receive an email with a link to your transcript once it's completed.

  6. Check your email and click on the link provided to access your completed transcription. You can copy the text from the webpage.

  7. If you want to split a longer audio or video file into smaller segments (up to 5 minutes each), download the free program called Audacity.

  8. Open Audacity and click on "File" and then "Open" to locate your audio or video file.

  9. Use the selection tool to highlight the portion of the file you want to split, making sure to find a gap where it's not in the middle of an audio wave.

  10. Click on "File" and then "Export" to export the selected section as a separate file. Choose the desired format (e.g., MP3) and save it.

  11. Delete the exported section in Audacity, leaving the remaining portion of the file.

  12. Repeat steps 10-12 to split the file into additional segments if needed.

  13. Return to the Notta.AI website and click on "Import Files" to upload the split audio or video files for transcription. Follow the same process as mentioned earlier.

  14. Access your transcriptions on the dashboard. You can copy and paste the text into a Word document or other apps.

  15. If you want to export the transcription directly from Notta.AI, you will need a premium account. Without a premium account, you can manually copy and paste the text into the desired application.
