🧰 AI How-To
How to Create AI-Generated Cinematic Videos
Prepare Image: Choose an image to use as the starting frame for the cinematic video. This image can be from a tool like Midjourney or any image from your computer.
Access Runway Gen 2: Go to Runway Gen 2 and select the "Image to Video" option. Link to Runway Gen 2.
Adjust Settings: Before generating, make sure to click on the "Settings" button and deselect the "Interpolate" and "Upscale" options. Keep the "Remove Watermark" option selected.
Generate Video: Click on "Generate" to create the initial video with the chosen image as the first frame. If you have multiple images you would like to use to generate a video, you can generate new videos while the first is rendered.
Enhance Video Quality: Export the video from Runway Gen 2 and import it into Topaz Video AI for better quality.
Upscale and Frame Rate: In Topaz Video AI, upscale the video to a higher resolution, e.g., 4K, and set the frame rate to 24 frames per second for a cinematic feel. Link to Topaz Video AI. We suggest 4x Upscale, and 24 FPS.
Frame Interpolation: Enable frame interpolation to create smooth animations between frames and remove any duplicate frames. Select the Apollo AI Model for frame Interpolation and select “Replace Duplicate Frames”.
AI Model Selection: Choose an appropriate AI model for enhancement, such as "Proteus" and a Video type; we suggest “Progressive”.
Encoder Settings: Select high-quality encoder settings like "ProRes 422" for a better final result.
Export: Export the enhanced video with the selected settings.
Review and Refine: Evaluate the final result and assess any areas that may need further improvement or refinement.
Use in Projects: Incorporate the AI-generated cinematic videos into your filmmaking projects to add a unique and creative touch.
