🧰 AI How-To

Create AI Animated Videos Using Midjourney and D-ID:

  1. Generate a character: Start by generating a character you want to use consistently. For example, a pretty woman with red curly hair wearing a dress. Use MidJourney versions 4 or 5, depending on your preference.

  2. Choose a generation: Look through the different generations and choose the one you want to use as your base. If you don't find a suitable one, you can re-roll the prompt.

  3. Upscale the image: Once you have chosen the generation, upscale the image by clicking on the "Upscale" button. This will give you a clearer image to work with.

  4. Get the seed: To get the seed of the image, there are different steps for MidJourney 4 and 5.

For MidJourney 4: Upscale the image and click on the three dots. Then, click the envelope icon to receive information on the image, such as the job ID and seed number. Save the seed number for later use.

For MidJourney 5: Click on the envelope reaction on the grid of four images, not on the upscaled version. MidJourney will then send you a message with the seed information.

  1. Write the formula: Write the formula to tell MidJourney to use the character in new prompts. Start by writing "Imagine" and hitting space. Then, open the generation you want to use and click "Open in Browser." Copy the URL and paste it into your prompt. Next, copy and paste your original prompt (e.g., "a very pretty woman with red curly hair wearing a dress").

  2. Add the seed: To make sure MidJourney uses the same character, add the seed number by writing two dashes, followed by the word "seed" and the seed number.

  3. Try it out: Hit enter and see what MidJourney produces. The first round of generations will likely look similar to your original generation, but as you change the prompts, you'll see the character in different poses, locations, and outfits.

  4. Experiment: Experiment with different prompts, tags, and settings to create a variety of consistent characters. For example, try adding the "full body" tag, changing the character's clothing, or giving them a cartoonish look.
